Isabelle Ryder
DPhil (Oxon)
A former earthquake scientist with a first degree in music, Isabelle Ryder is now a composer and Visiting Professional at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts. Her music straddles classical, jazz, folk, and soundtrack. Isabelle took up the organ at the age of 13, and gained the joint top first in Music at Oxford. After being Organist at Canford School for two years, she read Natural Sciences at Cambridge, where she was Organ Scholar at Churchill College.
